Laura Baker is a visual artist based on Wiradjuri Country in the Central West of NSW, Australia.

Working across hand cut paper, expanded drawing and installation, her practice explores place, memory, materiality and the visual language of regional environments. Through processes of cutting, removal and repetition, Baker examines the traces held within landscapes, built spaces and everyday objects. Her work is shaped by sustained engagement with regional communities and sites, and by an interest in how personal and collective histories are embedded within the places we inhabit.
